You just had a baby - and you're undergoing a profound and transformative experience. Yet despite the excitement, you are also navigating intense physical and emotional changes. In times of doubt, exhaustion, or fear, affirmations are a powerful tool to use.

Here are 10 postpartum affirmations to help you embrace your postpartum journey with love, confidence, and a positive mindset.


  1. My baby and I are learning how to do this together.

  2. Taking care of myself means I can better take care of my baby.

  3. Asking for help is a sign of strength.

  4. I am thankful for the body that just brought life into the world.

  5. I will be patient with myself.

  6. This period is hard and temporary. I will get through this.

  7. My feelings are valid.

  8. I will take today moment by moment.

  9. I release my expectations of perfection.

  10. My needs are important.


Try repeating these affirmations daily during the postpartum period. While you embrace these statements, you will learn to internalize them as a new inner voice.
